We picked this material up last Spring and decided to age it for a year in a large Jianshui clay jar. This is picked exclusively from a single old tree in Jingmai. You can see the garden in the video below. Single trees produce very little material. We only have 15x 100g boxes of loose leaf to sell. 

This is an understated tea. It is soft, subtle, and very comforting. Ethereal aromas in the wet leaf and cooling cup evoke memories of pie crust just out of the oven, a sweetness like a fresh fruit salad, and a crispness like sundried linen. 

Nothing about this tea is overt or in your face. It is delicate and graceful. This a silky smooth tea with nice body and lacking astringency or bitterness. This is a sneaky tea that presents more after the swallow than during. The throat-feel is sweet grass with honey and floral notes. This is a very pleasant tea but oh so delicate. 

This material is packaged into sealed foil bags which come with an included sealing clip to keep the tea fresh.

Brewing Instructions

Use 5-10 grams of leaves and brew with 75-150ml ( 2.5-5oz ) of water at or near boiling. Rinse once for a few seconds. Start with quick steeps under 10s. With each re-steep adjust the steep time to your taste.
