Handmade Jianshui Tea Strainer / Filter

These tea strainers are handmade from a small workshop in Jianshui. Read more about Jianshui here. Each strainer is individual and unique. These are made from quality clay that is single fired and unglazed. They have been highly polished by hand.
These work quite well at blocking out larger leaf particles, but will let through smaller bits. These would be well suited for large leaf teas. They will get clogged with tea made from dust/fanning grade leaves. They are easily cleaned with water. A tiny paper clip works well for clearing blocked holes.
These are handmade products and will vary slightly in appearance and size from the picture. They average 10cm x 3cm Tall.
These filters were polished with an olive oil coating to make them look shiny. We tried to remove as much as we could. Please wash them with hot water before use.
