This is a solid silver teapot made from fine silver by a small family of silversmiths in Yunnan. It is entirely handmade. Yunnan has a long history mining and working silver in the mountains that make up the foothills of the Himalayas. Brewing tea in silver is a special experience.
This teapot weighs 133.2 grams. It is solid silver; .999 grade. It is 180ml in volume. The handle is ebony wood. This helps protect your fingers from the heat of the silver. There is a small amount of oxidative color change that has happened to the surface of this teapot. That is normal and can be polished if you prefer or left to age.
