Tariffs and orders from China February 04 2025

There is a new tariff in town! The US government has imposed a steep tariff on all products coming out of China going to the US. It may be as high as 100% or more. We're not exactly sure how this will play out or how long it will last. This is a fluid situation that we are reacting to in the moment. It changes every single day.

As of this moment no customers in the US have been charged any tariff.

There is a de minimis exemption of $800 for orders shipping from China to the US. Orders less than $800 will not be tariffed. This MAY change on May 2nd. That is what the US government has outlined. If your order arrives after May 2nd and the de minimis exemption has been removed then you will be charged a tariff.

We don't know how that will work yet. We don't know if the USPS will send you a bill or if they will require you to go to a post office to pick up your package and then pay the tariff.

If you are in the US and you are told your package will be charged a tariff please let us know! We have not yet heard that any customer is being charged a tariff.

Other countries are NOT affected!

Our Seattle Inventory is unaffected. You can order from here and we will ship out orders as quickly as we can! https://crimsonlotustea.com/collections/seattle-inventory There are no additional tariffs on orders shipping from Seattle.

We will add updates here as soon as we have them. We appreciate your patience and understanding!
